Building Better Learning Spaces Through Collective Action
Education remains one of the strongest foundations for community growth. Through SuperEskwela, SuperStaff joined Brigada Eskwela 2026 to help create a cleaner, safer, and more supportive learning environment for students at Jose Magsaysay Elementary School in Makati City.
Held on May 28, 2026, the initiative brought together SuperStaff employees, student volunteers from José Rizal University (JRU), school representatives, parents, and community members in a shared effort to prepare the school for the opening of classes.
Brigada Eskwela is an annual nationwide community service program led by the Department of Education. The program encourages communities to work together in preparing public schools before the start of the school year while promoting the Filipino value of bayanihan, or collective action for a common purpose.
Building on this national initiative, SuperStaff launched SuperEskwela, a community-driven program that combines volunteerism, sustainability, and education support to create meaningful and lasting impact.
Why Jose Magsaysay Elementary School
Jose Magsaysay Elementary School was carefully selected as the beneficiary of SuperEskwela because of its close connection to the community where SuperStaff operates.
Located at 8248 Constancia, Makati City, the school serves a large number of students from underserved and marginalized families. Like many public schools, it faces resource limitations that can affect school readiness and access to learning materials.
By supporting a nearby public school, SuperStaff can make a direct and meaningful contribution to the community where its employees live and work. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to improving learning environments and creating opportunities for young learners.
Partnering With José Rizal University
A key part of the program’s success was the participation of José Rizal University.
JRU was chosen as a partner because of its strong commitment to education, social responsibility, and community development. The university shares SuperStaff’s belief that meaningful progress comes from investing in people and empowering communities.
Living up to its guiding principle, “Talino. Talento. Tatag. Taos-Puso. HUSAY RIZAL.”, JRU demonstrated the values of knowledge, skill, resilience, and service through the active participation of its student volunteers. Their enthusiasm and dedication helped strengthen the spirit of bayanihan that defined the entire SuperEskwela initiative.
A total of 18 JRU student volunteers joined the activity, contributing their time and energy to support the various initiatives conducted during the event.

Three Initiatives, One Shared Goal
At the heart of SuperEskwela were three programs designed to address different community needs while supporting students and families.
Green Brigada
Green Brigada focused on creating a cleaner and safer learning environment for students.
Volunteers participated in general clean-up activities across classrooms and school facilities. The initiative also promoted proper waste segregation through the donation and installation of labeled trash bins for biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable waste.
Under the campaign message, “Super Linis Starts With You,” students, parents, and school personnel were encouraged to practice responsible waste disposal and help maintain a cleaner school environment throughout the year.
The initiative supports long-term environmental awareness while helping schools maintain safe and organized learning spaces.
Share a Book, Shape a Future
Access to books remains an important part of a child’s learning journey.
Through the Share a Book, Shape a Future campaign, SuperStaff employees donated new and gently used children’s books collected from designated drop-off points at the Makati and Clark offices.
The donated books will be used to establish a reading corner within the school, providing students with additional opportunities to learn, explore new ideas, and strengthen their reading habits.
The campaign carried the message:
“Every book you give opens a new world for a student. Join our Brigada Eskwela Book Donation Drive and help empower young minds with knowledge, imagination, and opportunity. Your old books can become someone’s new beginning.”
The initiative resulted in more than 50 books being donated, benefiting approximately 250 students.
Soap-er Hero
SuperEskwela also extended its impact beyond the classroom through Soap-er Hero.
This practical skills workshop taught parents how to create affordable and effective dishwashing liquid soap using simple materials. Starter kits were provided to help participants apply what they learned at home.
Beyond promoting household savings, the program introduced a skill that may support small-scale income opportunities in the future.
During the activity, participants successfully produced 20 liters of dishwashing liquid soap, while 22 parents completed the workshop and gained valuable new skills they can continue to use.
Measurable Impact
The collective efforts of volunteers, employees, parents, and partners produced meaningful results for the school community:
- More than 90 books donated
- Approximately 250 students are expected to benefit from the reading corner
- 22 Soap-er Hero business kits were donated to school parents during the workshop
- 22 school parents trained through the Soap-er Hero program
- 22 JRU student volunteers participated
- Trash bins donated to support proper waste segregation
- School facilities were cleaned and prepared for the new academic year
Building Dreams, One School at a Time
Through SuperEskwela, SuperStaff continues to support education, community development, and volunteerism by bringing together employees, partners, and local stakeholders for a common purpose.
By investing in cleaner schools, accessible learning resources, and practical livelihood skills, SuperStaff helps create opportunities that extend beyond a single day of service. With Husay and Super coming together through the JRU-SuperStaff partnership, this SuperHusay initiative reflects what communities can achieve when shared values, meaningful service, and collective action move as one.
Every book donated, every classroom cleaned, and every skill shared contributes to a stronger future for students, families, and communities.
Together, we are building dreams, one school at a time.
